Almost half of the health posts in 883 brazilian cities do not have scientific chambers with temperature measurement and alarms in good condition in all service units. 21% have a deficiency in basic infrastructure, such as the availability of water, soap, paper towels and pedal bin.
These are just some of the various infrastructure bottlenecks in brazilian health posts detected in a survey carried out by Instituto Locomotiva, which is part of the group “Unidos pela Vacina”.
In addition to the lack of scientific chambers, there are deficiencies in connectivity, which is fundamentally important to monitor vaccination. In 23% of the municipalities, health units do not use the internet for vaccination records, and in 14% there is no computer. The share of “without a computer” rises to 28% in municipalities in the Northern region (Source: msn.com).
These data are of concern, since the effectiveness of immunization is directly related to the correct storage of vaccines, in the temperature range between 2°C to 8°C. Biotecno scientific refrigerators use digital resources, energy backup and high connectivity to guarantee all aspects of conservation. Registered with the Brazilian Ministry of Health/ANVISA and certified by the North American FDA, they guarantee safe and adequate storage according to current legislation
