In Brazil, is time to vaccinate against the flu

The 23rd National Flu Vaccination Campaign started on April 12th. Despite the extreme importance, the country registered a low demand for immunization. It is very important that our population is aware of the immunization against influenza and that Brazil can reverse this situation of low vaccination.

At the beginning of the campaign, the priority group is organized as follows: pregnant women, postpartum women (up to 45 days later), children from six months and under six, indigenous and health professionals can be immunized. Whoever is in the priority group for immunization against covid-19 should pay attention to the dates, as the recommendation of the folder is to respect a minimum period of 14 days between one application and another.

The trivalent vaccine protects against three types of influenza: H1N1, H3N2 and type B Victoria. Quadrivalent doses also immunize against Yamagata type B.
