Many Brazilian municipalities are concerned about the correct storage of vaccines and adapting them to Biotecno technology. One of them is São Francisco do Guaporé, whose city hall, through the Municipal Health Department, acquired three scientific refrigerators for vaccines and supplies.
The equipment was purchased with resources from the SUS, to meet the demand for vaccination. In the photo shared with us, there are Biotecno equipment installed in the municipality, with the presence of the Municipal Health Secretary, Vera Lúcia Quadros, Vice-Mayor Jaime Fuentes and Mayor Tinoco.
As important as the municipalities offering vaccines, is to observe all aspects of conservation, using scientific refrigerators to conserve immunobiologicals. Using domestic refrigerators to store vaccines is a practice already banned in Brazil by RDC 197/2017, which determines the use of conservation equipment regulated by the Ministry of Health.
With each new Biotecno equipment installed, we feel proud to fulfill our mission of taking care of life using conservation technology. We thank this and so many other cities, pharmacies and clinics dedicated to immunizing the population.
