Taken in two doses with an interval of two weeks, it obtained effective results in all control groups, without serious adverse events related to the vaccine. The technology used in this vaccine allows storage at temperatures between 2 ° C and 8 ° C. In the last phase before the release for emergency use, it was applied to 26 thousand volunteers.
The Brazilian Association of Vaccine Clinics - ABCVAC - informed that it is negotiating with the Bharat Biotech laboratory, in India, the acquisition of 5 million doses, with the expectation that they will be available in the national market in March this year. ABCVAC representatives travel to India, where they visit the laboratory, to learn about the production capacity and to continue with the negotiations.
The Indian company has already carried out procedures with the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) for continuous submission of vaccine results, a necessary step for registration in Brazil. The Brazilian regulatory body confirmed that the Bharat Biotech laboratory made a first contact to begin the continuous submission procedure, "which is when data from studies of a vaccine are presented gradually for analysis by the regulatory agency".
